El llamado fracaso del humanismo, y su consecuente respuesta antihumanista, ponen en jaque la construcción de las identidades en base al “sujeto universal”. El presente TFM pretende reflexionar acerca de la visión de “futuro posible” delineada en la serie Black Mirror (2011-2014). El objetivo es acercarse a los conflictos que devienen a partir de los límites difusos entre lo humano y no-humano, y estudiar cómo afectan de manera determinante a los personajes de la serie. Black Mirror pone de manifiesto nuevas narrativas identitarias mediadas por lo no-humano, cuerpos atravesados y reconstruidos de maneras impensables, nuevos discursos acerca de lo que significa estar vivos. La ficción y la realidad confluyen en un continuum y los límites identitarios son desafiados. Sin embargo, ¿es posible hallar en las historias de Black Mirror cuerpos posthumanos? El análisis se delimitará a tres episodios seleccionados para el corpus de este trabajo: “Vuelvo enseguida”, “San Junípero” y “El hombre contra el fuego”. Tomando como punto de partida las teorías que indagan acerca de lo posthumano de Rosi Braidotti y Paula Sibilia, así como las posturas del individualismo que defienden Fernando Gil Villa y Jean-Claude Wolf, el estudio de la serie permitirá abordar ideas claves planteadas por el posthumanismo, como es el caso del antiantropocentrismo y la destrucción de los binomios. Las preguntas centrales que guiarán este análisis son: ¿Será posible la construcción de una nueva categoría de sujeto alejada de los valores universales humanistas? ¿Puede existir un mundo colaborativo interespecie donde el ser humano no sea la medida de todas las cosas? ¿Cómo se configurarán los cuerpos frente al saber tecnocientífico dominante?.[eng] The development of techno-science and its influence on the organic matter lead us to rethink the boundaries between human being and their relationship with the environment. The so-called failure of humanism, and the consequent antihumanist response, question the construction of identities based on the notion of a “universal subject”. The present TFM reflects on the “possible future” that is displayed in Black Mirror (2011- 2014). The aim of this research is to approach the tensions produced by the undefined limits between human and non-human beings, as well as observing how these tensions deeply affect the series’ characters. Black Mirror dramatizes new identity narratives crossed by the non-human, bodies reconstructed in unthinkable ways, and new discourses about the meaning of being alive. Fiction and reality converge in a continuum, while identity boundaries are seriously challenged. However, is it possible to find posthuman bodies in these stories? The analysis is focused on three episodes: “Be right back”, “San Junipero” and “Men against fire”. Taking as a starting point the ideas originating in the posthumanist thinking postulated by Rosi Braidotti and Paula Sibilia, as well as the individualism theory defended by Fernando Gil Villa and Jean-Claude Wolf, this study will address key concepts found in posthumanism, such as anti-anthropocentrism and the fading binomials. Is it possible to construct a category of a new subject removed from the universal humanistic values? Can we conceive an interspecies, collaborative world where the human being will not be the measure of all things? How will bodies become shaped by the leading techno-scientific knowledge?
